Yes he is so they all have access to both enclosures. Atlan did have a little break last weekend from them but is back with them now 😊

В Tierpark Berlin Ченгду тоже остаётся с семьёй, когда у Чару рождаются котята. Мне кажется, это так мило и действительно интересно! Я бы очень хотела посмотреть как папа-манул общается/взаимодействует с котятами 😍

Hi Vika, oh I hadn’t realised that about Chengdu’s at Tierpark Berlin he must have been in the enclosure with Manuela when I visited last September 🥰
Yes very unusual I think they decided this year to try to keep them as a family unit. It would be my dream to get a photo of Atlan & a kitten as Atlan is my favourite Pallas cat as I’ve known him all his life 🥰 … unfortunately from what I’ve seen if the kittens get to near he runs away from them with the kitten in hot pursuit! I did hear that one kitten went & had a sleep in the same den as him one time as it was seen on the camera traps. It was good that he had a little break from them for a few days especially as he’s an older dad & it’s been very hot here - it was nice to see him back with them when I visited on Saturday 🥰

The only photo I have so far of Atlan & one of the kittens this was taken 17th May 2026 🥰 hopefully one day I will get them closer together 🤞🏻
